Torri's Musical



Hi guys.


As I have mentioned before I (torri) was just in a musical. It was called suesical. We preformed it last weekend and it was tons of fun. Here is a picture of me as a bird girl with my good friend Summer as Gertrude (one of the leads). I was also assistant stage manager for this.

Summertime 2008

Football Season 2008



Football began in at the end of August with 2 hour practices every day, 5 days in a row for a couple of weeks. Then games were on Wed.pm and Sat.am and practices were only on Mon, Teus, Thurs,& Fri. It was intense for our family's first experience with football. The boys loved it and they were both pretty much the tallest and biggest boys for their grades in the whole tri-county league. Some of the games were as far as 2 1/2 hours away, but at least half were home games. We were able to see quite a bit of central Utah during this season and with gas prices at an alltime high it became a small drain on the wallet. It was a relief to be done by early October. After a little break the boys did miss playing the game with all their friends.

Summer News

Summer went by fairly uneventful, but very quickly. Torri & Zac spent some time in June in Tyler, TX at the Teenmania campus. Torri as a volunteer and Zac at a short term mission trip to Tyler. They were helpful to the ministry there and both of them grew spiritually in different ways while they were there.

We went North and saw a few movies now and then and took a few day trips to pass the time, which ended all too soon. We took a an afternoon picnic to Maple Canyon but it was very buggy and one of us had flipflops on which do not work for walking through the rocks. Then while Torri was still in TX, the boys, Fred & I went camping overnight at Yuba Lake State Park, which is a beautiful lake, but our campsite was the only one with mimimal shade and it was very hot, but we still had fun. At the end of June and July we took rides over the mountain behind our house to spot any snow left, there were a few tiny spots. We are still finding spots nearby that are beautiful.

Baseball began the summer and football practices ended it. A trip to a water park in July was fun in between. It was a nighttime visit with my cousins church and all had fun. There were games and rides, river pool, and a wave pool. They served a yummy supper and ended the evening with a movie on a fifty foot infatable movie screen, which was really cool to watch go up by the wave pool.

Alltogether not an exciting summer, but we enjoyed being together with each other.

Torri's Update

Hey Everyone!
This is Torri. I figured I'd give you an update on my life. I am now 16, a junior in high school, and a freshman in college. I have my license now. I am a bird girl (supportin charactor) and the prop master in the upcoming school musical, Suesical. Also in my acting I preformed a scene with from friends at the Utah Shakespearan Festival, We got good scores but not good enough to win anything. I am also the secretary of the Esteem Team (a club that is the anti-tobacco force in the school). My life has been super buzy lately. Well, email me soon @ qweraz1123@yahoo.com or myspace me. Right now I just have Chemistry 1010, History 2700, Communications 1200, and Sociology 1010.

July 07 Dirt Devil

While fishing at a nearby water area, Fred and Noah were able to capture this dirt devil on video. They were fishing with Uncle Jay and Uncle Alan whose voices you may hear in the background.

About Us

We are a family of 7 people(Tom & Paulette, Fred & JoAnne, Torri, Zac, & Noah; 2 dogs (Lita & Tojo); & 2 cats (George & Symba). We are sharing a home in a small rural town where not much goes on. My parents are retired and enjoy woodworking and gardining. Fred is working for a heating company working on gas and oil heating systems. Torri (11TH),Zac (7th), and Noah (6th) are all in school and for the most part doing well. I, JoAnne spend my time working at an infant room at the Snow College Child Care Lab,chauffering, and trying to keep in touch with distant family and friends.

Somethings you might not know?

Torri has been accepted into a special program at school where when she graduates from highschool she will have an associates college degree and a good size scholarship. She is currently taking her first college course, Psychology as a sophmore, and she is applying for national honor society. In February she is also in a drama competition, and a writing competion, next month she will be a part of the Spring Play at school.
Zac's favorite part of school is recess and hanging out with his friends. He is playing basketball with a town league, which is done pretty professionally with practice once or twice a week and a game on Saturday am cometing with other towns, he likes it a lot and is one of the tallest in the league for now at least. He is also part of a club that meets after school, and they are learning how to and putting together websites.
Noah is doing well in school, especially in Math. He also likes recess, they have 3 during the day, and is looking forward to playing either soccer or baseball in the spring and maybe football in the fall. He spends a lot of time perfecting his skills with video games, and is always up for a good board game.
